Yoga

Yoga has an ancient tradition known to have existed before 5000 years. In the sixth chapter of the Bhagavad Gita, which is the most important authority on Yoga philosophy, Sri Krishna explains to Arjuna the meaning of Yoga as a deliverance from contact with pain and sorrow. As a practice, yoga is a routine developed by the sages to help us arouse our dormant abilities, to strengthen our body, to focus our mind, and to unlock our limitless potential to become anything we wish to become.

Yoga is a journey where you find balance, harmony and energy renewal amidst the hectic bustle of everyday life. Adopting yoga principles to balance mutiple aspects of self, one can cultivate a healthy body, quiet mind, open heart and a vibrant spirit.

Benefits of YOGA :

Yoga, a meditation, has become increasingly desired in today's busy society. For average people, yoga provides a refreshment from their chaotic and busy lives. This is true whether you're practicing downward facing dog on a mat in your bedroom, in an ashram in India or even in New York City's Times Square. Yoga provides many other mental and physical benefits. Some of these extend to the kitchen table.

Bindu Dhyan

Vision gets collected or focused by bindu dhyan. Ascension which is a direct corollary of collection enables the practitioner to pierce the cover of darkness and behold divine radiance. The practitioner arrives, thus, at the centre or the point of origin of the gross realm. He comes to wield total control over the entire gross universe. He acquires supernatural powers called riddhis and siddhis. However, in order to be able to attain to this state of bindu dhyan, it is highly desirable to practice manas dhyan (meditating on the form of the Guru or the desired deity) first. Having stilled one's sight at the form of the desired deity, bindu dhyAn becomes very easy to perform.

The Bindu Chakra is an important centre for health, giving us the power for physical and mental recuperation. This Chakra benefits eyesight, quietens the emotions and promotes inner harmony, clarity and balance. With the help of this Chakra we are capable of controlling hunger and thirst and gain the ability to overcome unhealthy eating habits. Concentration on the Bindu relieves anxiety and depression, nervousness and also feelings of oppression in the heart.

Mantra Dhyan

One needs to focus all his or her mental energies on Devi or Devata of whom Pooja, Fasting and Prayers are being done. All the prayers are considered fruitless unless the person is unable to concentrate mentally on the deity.

The mantras for mental concentration on deities are written in Sanskrit in the Hindu Vedic scriptures. These are called DHYAN MANTRAS or DHYAN SHLOKAS. These Dhyan Mantras or Shlokas depict the form and appearance of Deities as beautiful representation of Sanskrit lyrics. Understanding these help the Sadhak mentally concentrate on the deity of choice with intense focus of spiritual and mental energies.

Without understanding the meaning of these mantras mere recitation of them does not meet the needs of Devi/Devata Sadhana. These Dhyan Mantras are strongly recommended to be recited even for daily pooja done at home. So the individual must first understand the meaning of these Dhyan Mantras so as to appease the lord supreme and get blessings of his desire.

Navgarh Dhyan

Navagrahas, the nine planetary gods have a great significance in Hinduism, since they play an important role in influencing the destiny of individuals. According to Hindu beliefs a person's fate depends upon the planetary positions not only at the time his or her birth but also at various times when important events take place or when important works are undertaken.

The Navagrahas are usually found installed together in most Hindu temples, and people worship them together. However, each of them also have specific temples built for them in various parts of India. Deities like Shani, Budha, Kuja are particularly worshipped by devotees to overcome misfortune and ward off evil influences. The following is a very powerful Navagraha prayer used by devotees to worship them collectively.

Kundalini Jagran Vidhi

The universe remains constant by mere existence of God. According to Kundalini Yoga, the power of God that drives the universe is called Chaitanya. Concerning a person, Chaitanya is called consciousness and it is that part of the divine power that is required for human actions.

The chakras are energy points that govern the physical body and regulate the uptake and energy expenditure in non-initiated or underdeveloped spiritually are closed or slightly open, when we develop our etheric, open the chakras.

When the Siddha Yogi or Guru shaktipatha on the seeker, this center of the mind awakens. The Guru puts his hand on his head, giving favor to his disciple. In that sequence of blessing, the communication of power is the transfer or awakening. That is how power is spread throughout the personality. Some centers are in its control role. From there its operation is awakening and evacuation. This fact can be understood by the example of switching on or off to operate any device in daily life. Electricity is prevalent everywhere, but it cannot be availed. To use electricity, then go through a process. For this, they connect to the production and distribution system of electricity. The switch can be switched on or off to wake up and sleep.
